Beyond The Black Rainbow This movie was assigned to me by my friend James Mitchell, I ended up watching it three times and I just have one question. What dafuq did I just watch? Here take a look Here is the plot as I can figure. Dr. Arboria founded the Arboria Institute,wonder how he came up with that name, which specializes  a mixture of New Agey psychobabble and pharmacology to help people find happiness. Dr. Barry Nyle, Dr. Arboria's protege, has taken over as head of the institute. He keeps a young woman named Elena prisoner in a hospital cell beneath the institute where she displays telepathic abilities which Dr. Nyle experiments with in torturous methods. My over all thoughts: The first thing I need to say about this movie is that it is extremely well shot. It is a joy to look at. The first thought I had when watching this is that it felt like what they thought the future would look like in the 70's the fact that they set the film in 1983 was brillant...

Spring Breakers stars Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and James Franco. It is written and directed by Harmony Korine. Lets get the plot out of the way first. Four girls from a small town college are going to Florida on Spring Break, they party and end up in jail during a drug bust at a party and are bailed out by local rapper Alien. Alien takes them down a path of drug slinging and robbing tourist while dueling fellow drug dealer and ex best friend Archie. Harmony Korine is the writer of the controversial 90's film Kids ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113540/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 ) and that film is a good lead in to this one, I feel like this is a generation defining type of film. James Franco is the main reason to watch this movie! I have seen it a couple of times now and cannot get it out of my head. I was already a fan of him but this performance is like nothing I have ever seen before.
